Booked in with Dr Nick Lowe

Booked in with Dr Nick LoweHey there
I just made an appointment with Dr Nick Lowe (for October, earliest appointment). The consultation fee is £350 which seems steep to me. Has anybody been to him? Do you know what kind of prices I can expect to pay for botox and fillers on top of that? It's my first time, I'm 34 and wouldn't say i need a lot but what do I know lol I want to go to somebody like Dr Lowe as I'd like my face to be treated by somebody with an eye for what needs doing as it's my first time. I'd quite like to discuss how to improve my profile and generally help look as good as possible for 34! Others on my list were Jain and Sebagh. How do they compare? I've heard Sebagh is very expensive. Thanks
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick Lowe£350 does seem a lot
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick Lowe
it does, doesn't it, for just an assessment. I thought perhaps he knocked it off any procedure but the woman who took my booking said it's just for a consultation.
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI have not used him for fillers but he did get rid of some pigmentation mark on my face so for me he was worth the money.
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick Lowe
Thanks Helene. Did he charge you £350 for a consultation?
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick Lowe350 for a consult is sick!!
I used to see him about 4 years ago... I paid 180 for a consult. His treatments are very expensive. IPL was between 300 and 400 each. Microdermabration was about 120. You also have to remember that these were 4 years ago so I'm not sure what the cost would be like today. He was the first guy I saw before I new that much about skin treatments. I wouldn't go and see him now because he isn't the best person to talk to, like trying to talk to your boss or bosses boss. He does know his stuff but I think he's overated.
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI agree with Italia. I saw Lowe for consultation way back in 2003, but didn't have treatment with him.
If, as you say, you want Botox and fillers I'd say Sebagh is your man. He has a great eye. I have seen and had treatment with him. No charge for consult. That's all Sebagh does all day long - Botox and fillers. That continuous experience is very important. Lowe is a derm who does a lot of other things. Joni x
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick Lowe
Thanks Joni. Do you know what kind of prices he charges and if he does many men? I've heard he charges a lot. I realise he's not going to be cheap but don't want o get completely ripped off....
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI would recommend Dr J Nabet whom works in the Soma hotel on - he is lovely and runs on time with his patients. I have seen a few leading ladies at various times in his waiting room and they look good - not 'done'. Dr Sebagh has a long waiting list and you can wait an age to see him - worth calling in advance to see how behind in his schedule he is. I would also consider Dr Prager. Neither charge a consultation fee - yet!
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI would recommend Dr J Nabet whom works in the Soma hotel in Kensington - he is charming and runs on time with his patients. I have seen a few leading ladies at various times in his waiting room and they look good - not 'done'. I have had botox and fillers to the cheek area with him and always been pleased with the results (over 4 years) I would also consider Dr Prager. Neither charge a consultation fee - yet!
There are many very experienced good Dr's in London who do not charge the extra fee - good luck whatever you decide and remember that you may get hooked and that extra money for a consultation will add up. L
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI would never consider paying £350 for a consultation regarding ordinary fillers/botox. When I say ordinary I mean to be used in the more usual sites of marionette lines or for augmentation etc etc. I would be happy to pay the oculoplastic fee often required for orbital fillers, as it's a more specialist procedure.
I would also be happy to pay a consultation fee to see a dermatologist (which Lowe is) if I had specific concerns regarding my skin and needed expert opinion/advise and possibly subsequent treatment. There is nothing anyone can impart to you concerning botox and fillers that could be considered knowledge worth £350. You can research both subjects extensively yourself for free. I would concentrate on finding one of the many practitioners who charge only for the treatment. However, that said, although I do not agree with the hefty price of the consultation, Lowe has been injecting fillers and botox for years, and this kind of experience is what you need when choosing a practitioner. Avoid the new wave of dental technicians, gp's or beauticians who have jumped on this lucrative bandwagon with only a 2 day training course behind them.
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI like nabet Nl got a big no from me I'm afraid
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweI'm a guy and I can't remember seeing another man in the 2 years I went to the cranely clinic.
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweWell, I rang Dr Sebagh who is booked up until December! I'm going to keep trying, hopefully there'll be a cancellation. I'm going on holiday in October and wanted a little refresh before then really.
I've still got my session with Dr Lowe booked but if i can get in with Dr Sebagh i might cancel it.
Re: Booked in with Dr Nick LoweNabet is good too - you might want to consider him too.
Sebag is fab he "fits" you in but you have to wait around all day to see him ![]()
